Boys & Girls Club of the
Platte Valley
Because the Future Lives Here
The Boys & Girls Club of the Platte Valley is a community-driven initiative designed to support youth, strengthen families, and bring people together across generations. Rooted in the values of the Platte Valley and guided by the proven Boys & Girls Club model, this effort responds to a clear and growing need for consistent, welcoming spaces where our community can learn, connect, and stay healthy year-round.
Why This Matters
Saratoga and the greater Platte Valley are strong, resilient places but existing facilities and programs have struggled to keep pace with community needs. Families face limited consistent out-of-school time options and residents of all ages feel the absence of accessible indoor spaces, especially during long winter months.
The Boys & Girls Club of the Platte Valley is a response to that gap: a shared investment in people, connection, and long-term community well-being.

Our Vision
We envision a thriving rural community where everyone has a place to belong, grow, and lead.
Our Mission
To build a resilient and connected Platte Valley by empowering young people, strengthening families, and creating opportunities for health, learning, and recreation.
More Than a Club
The Boys & Girls Club of the Platte Valley is more than a youth program. It is a foundation for long-term community strength.
Through a partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming and collaboration with local leaders, the Club will anchor a broader vision that includes shared recreation and gathering spaces designed to evolve with community needs.

What a Boys & Girls Club Provides
Boys & Girls Clubs fill the critical gap between school and home, especially in rural communities. They offer:
- Safe, welcoming spaces for kids and teens after school
- Caring, consistent mentors
- Academic support and enrichment
- Programs that build character, leadership, and life skills
- Opportunities for physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Engagement that supports families and strengthens community ties
This model has a long track record of positive outcomes for youth, families, and communities across Wyoming. See the communities served by a Boys & Girls Club here.
Who We Serve
The Boys & Girls Club of the Platte Valley is designed for the entire region, including Saratoga and surrounding communities. It will support:
- Children who need safe, reliable after-school care
- Teens seeking connection, leadership, and opportunity
- Families looking for support, balance, and belonging
- Community members of all ages seeking health, recreation, and connection
Looking Ahead
The Boys & Girls Club of the Platte Valley represents a shared vision for the future, one where opportunity does not depend on zip code, and where rural communities have access to the spaces and support they need to thrive.
This project is shaped by local voices, guided by proven impact, and built for generations to come. The initiative is currently in a planning and partnership phase, with conversations underway among key stakeholders and early investors. At this time, the focus is on thoughtful coordination and logistical development rather than broad community fundraising.
