Job Summary:
The Youth Development Professional (YDP) will plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate a broad range of activities within the priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Character & Leadership, Healthy Life Styles, Essential Skills, and Life & Workforce Readiness.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Create, plan, and oversee the implementation of targeted programs & high yield learning activities that support the optimal Club experience.
- Monitor, evaluate, and improve programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members, quality of programs, and development of the organization.
- Utilize the 7 elements of a high quality session to engage with you which are Warm Welcome, Community Builder, Group Agreements, Main Activities, Reflection, Recognition, and Transitions.
- Utilize trauma informed strategies to manage youth behavior.
- Participate in planning and implementation of Club events including family nights, teen nights, community events, outreach events, and other events as assigned.
- May be required to drive a Club van.
- Keep Club equipment and grounds clean and in good working condition.
- Contribute to the overall workplace culture of humility, hunger, and people smarts.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience with youth recommended
- Ability to utilize technology
- Punctuality
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Reliable transportation
Benefits
- Wage: $13 – $16 per hour DOE
