Support the Boys & Girls Club of Riverton at the Fremont Center on April 23rd

Begin your day in support of the Boys & Girls Club of Riverton at the 5th Annual Awards & Recognition Breakfast honoring Mary Axthelm.

Mary Axthelm has dedicated her life to serving the Riverton community for nearly three decades. As Program Director for ‘R’ Recreation at Central Wyoming College, she lives her dream of bringing recreation and connection to the area. From launching ‘R’ Recreation to playing pivotal roles in youth sports leagues, Mary’s commitment to enriching lives is unwavering.

Her proudest accomplishment, however, is helping bring the Boys & Girls Club to Riverton. Recognizing the need for a safe, supportive space for youth after school, Mary worked tirelessly with community leaders to make the Club a reality in 2020. Reflecting on the journey, Mary was brought to tears, saying, “It’s a privilege to create hope and opportunity for youth—a legacy that will outlive us all.”

To the kids she inspires, Mary offers this advice: “Dream big—bigger than you can imagine. Remember, God is bigger than any mountain. Never give up and always keep moving forward.” It’s a message of resilience and faith from someone who knows what it takes to turn dreams into reality.

Rocky Bleier, a Vietnam War veteran and four-time Super Bowl champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers, exemplifies unparalleled resilience and determination. His journey from the battlefields of Vietnam, where he was severely wounded, to the pinnacle of NFL success, is a testament to the power of perseverance and mental toughness.

Bleier’s presentations go beyond the traditional sports narrative, offering deep insights into overcoming adversity, setting goals, and the importance of teamwork and leadership in achieving success. His compelling storytelling, infused with humility and authenticity, captivates audiences, leaving a lasting impression on everyone from corporate executives to student athletes.

Bleier’s ability to draw parallels between the challenges he faced on the football field and in life resonates with individuals across all walks of life, providing them with the motivation to tackle their own obstacles with courage and tenacity.
