At the Club, it is our responsibility to fulfill members’ basic needs of nutrition so they can achieve positive results in all aspects of their lives. The Free Snack and Meal Program has become a staple of Club services provided to the community and a dependable resource for families who utilize the Boys & Girls Club for out-of-school care. Having snacks and meals routinely available helps Club members focus on programming and not on hunger. Additionally, it provides relief to families who depend on the low/no cost structure of the Boys & Girls Club to alleviate the stress of living on a tight budget.
With help from the Wyoming Hunger Initiative, the Club can provide needed equipment to address food safety and proper cleaning procedures. This funding allowed us to purchase a dishwasher for the kitchen of our new Buffalo Club to ensure dishes can be cleaned to proper specifications for the safety of our members.
Thank you to First Lady Jennie Gordon and the Wyoming Hunger Initiative for this generous gift and for your work in battling food insecurity in Wyoming!
